Hey, guess what? Target has all the Valentine’s Day stuff out! We can all rest easy now. Thank God for Valentine’s Day. Otherwise, how would all the unmarried folks in the world know how much happier they would be if they were partnered up!
Hey, guess what? I took that picture on the banner above. I DID! It’s of Bayeaux, Normandy where my father and I went for the D-Day tour. If I could make it bigger you’d see my Dad lower right-hand corner dressed like Walter Matthau pre-Odd Couple. I’m feeling reinvigorated towards my dinner parties this year. But with one BIG change: Only 4 people at a time. So, really 3 because I’ll be there. That way I don’t have to double any recipes and we can all eat around my kitchen table. I don’t know when I’ll do it. I’m in an improv show on the weekends through the end of January so it’ll probably wait till Febroodary.
Hey, guess what? I got my first full night’s sleep last night since returning! I went to bed at 10:30 and woke up at 7. Hooray! Of course, I had maddeningly vivid dreams about flying low (about 6 feet off the ground) through the city of Chicago naked and then getting molested by a retarded man at a Hamburger Stand. But I don’t complain. Thankfully, I was asleep when all that was happening.
So, last week at this time, I was in France. Ah…….

Your dream was less than awesome…
And I personally think THIS ( http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080102/ap_on_re_eu/france_smoking_ban ) is awesome, but you are free to disagree. I just thought it might be of interest to you, as a future French cafe owner.
